This might seem like a little bit of an odd post, but it should help stressed out students.
Let’s face it, every college student becomes very stressed at one point or another. Believe it or not, Rowan has a perfect cure. The Rowan Trail, which connects the main parking lot, Lot A, to Rowan Hall, the engineering building, is quite possibly the most peaceful trail i’ve ever walked on. I didn’t even know it existed, but I had to walk from Lot A to the football field parking lot to get to my car. I noticed a little walkway going into the trees. I had some time to kill before my next class, and decided to walk down this path just to see where it would take me. I’m a spontaneous kind of guy, sue me.
At this point I was also very stressed out due to a very difficult test that I had just taken, so walking down the trail worked out very well for me. It is by far the most peaceful place on campus, and a great place to clear your mind if you’re stressed out. It’s literally just a path going through some trees, but for some reason it’s awesome. Maybe it’s the sound of the water fountain in the lake outside of Rowan Hall, or maybe it’s the just the peaceful atmosphere. Whatever it is, it works.
I highly recommend that anybody who is stressed out to take a five minute break, and walk down the trail. It’ll clear your mind and hopefully allow you to get back on track, and reduce your stress.
